Villains

You know'em, you hate'em, you kick their butts!  But heres some more information on all the Sly Cooper Villains!

Fiendish Five

 Clockwerk

His Story in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus--

Clockwerk is several hundred years old, and has been kept alive by his hatred of the Cooper Family, of whom he was a rival. After Sly was born, Clockwerk founded the Fiendish Five, leading them in an attack on the Cooper family. Clockwerk is responsible for the murder of Sly's family and the theft of the Thievius Raccoonus, which contained all the family's thieving secrets. He was a mysterious figure for much of the game, until he battled Sly in his headquarters in the Krack-Krakov Volcano.

Based in the volcano, Clockwerk had developed a giant Death Ray for unknown reasons. Proving himself a most dangerous adversary, he captured Carmelita Fox and used her to lure Sly into his gas chamber, nearly killing the both of them. Confronting him through the use of a jetpack, Sly learned of Clockwerk's past, which had been hinted at by images of him seen in recovered sections of the Thievius Raccoonus. The two fought, with Sly gaining aid from Carmelita, and Clockwerk was defeated. During the battle, he revealed that he had left Sly alive to show the world that the Cooper Clan was nothing without the Thievius Raccoonus, but Sly proved him wrong, saying: "The Thievius Raccoonus doesn't create great thieves. It takes great thieves to create the Thievius Raccoonus." After the end credits, a view is given of Clockwerk's remains floating in the lava, and one eye lights up, then it shows a scene of Murray screaming.

Clockwerk continued to torture the Cooper Gang in the form of his brain, two lungs, stomach, heart, eyes, talons, wings, tail feathers and frame in Sly 2: Band of Thieves.

Personality--

Accurately described as a monster, Clockwerk was obsessed with proving himself superior to the Cooper Clan. For an unknown period of centuries, he kept himself alive through sheer hatred and jealousy of Sly's family, later augmenting this with robotic parts. Even before he became a robot, Clockwerk had no feelings or pity (Like his mind-to-be, Neyla). Upon Sly entering the gas chamber, the doors slam suddenly, pictures of Clockwerk light up the walls, and he triumphfantly declares over an intercom "Empathy was always the downfall of the Coopers", implying he killed Sly's ancestors with similar tricks. Clockwerk's entire focus was gaining vengeance on the Coopers, which eventually lead to his downfall. Due to the fact that he's been hunting the Cooper family for thousands of years and seeming to have no conscience to guide him, some fans think he's a psychopath.

  Sir Raleigh

Sir Raleigh was born into a life of nobility and privilege, but grew bored with it. On a whim, he tried his hand at piracy, and discovered that he enjoyed it. Becoming addicted to crime, his tinkering genius earned him a seat in the Fiendish Five as Chief Machinist. After the attack on the Cooper home was completed, Raleigh took off with the notes of Rioichi Cooper.

Years later, Raleigh had established himself near the Isle O'Wrath, situated in the center of his artificially created Welsh Triangle. Using his Storm Machine to wreck the local weather conditions, Raleigh wrecked a large number of vessels before Sly arrived. Boarding the Machine, Sly confronted the frog. Despite swallowing special bees and bloating to massive size to crush Sly, Raleigh was beaten. Right on cue, Carmelita Fox arrived to arrest him and his crew, ending the legend of the Welsh Triangle.

  Muggshot

Muggshot is a character from the Sly Cooper video game series. He is a stereotypical thug, big and strong but not too bright.

Muggshot was born the runt of the litter, and was always picked on because of it. In his loneliness, his only friends were found on the big screen. It was in one of these movies, entitled "The Dogfather" (an obvious parody to The Godfather), that Muggshot saw his first gangster. Inspired, he spent the rest of his childhood working out, until he ended up a muscle-bound thug with a taste for guns and skin too hard to be wounded by any conventional weapon.

After joining the Fiendish Five as Chief Enforcer and departing the Cooper home with the documentations of Tennessee Kid Cooper, Muggshot set out to establish a gambling empire in the western United States. Driving out the residents of Mesa City, Utah, Muggshot proceeded to make his own additions, including a penthouse shaped like a fire hydrant. However, his forces were unable to detect Sly and Sly managed to defeat him by redirecting sunlight to fry Muggshot and his guns. Muggshot was then thrown in jail by Carmelita Fox.

Some years later, Muggshot appeared once more, this time in Holland as a leader in a team of pilots that Sly was arrayed against. He appeared two times: once to battle Murray, and again to fight Carmelita who put him back in jail again.

  Mz. Ruby

Born into a family of mystics, Mz. Ruby was feared as a child. Learning to summon the undead was the only way she had of gaining friends. Years of bitterness led an adult Mz. Ruby to apply her voodoo talents to crime, breaking laws made by both man and nature. As Chief Mystic for the Fiendish Five, she accompanied her fellows to the Cooper family home, and departed with the manuscripts of Slytankhamen Cooper.

Fleeing into the jungles of Haïti, Mz. Ruby used her knowledge of voodoo to create an armies of ghosts from bones and body parts, run from her crocodile Skull Temple. Despite the obstacles, Sly Cooper managed to reach her, and faced her in what has been said to be a voodoo rhythm game, with Mz. Ruby sending voodoo blasts (corresponding with the four symbol buttons of the Dualshock 2 controller) which Sly had to avoid by the player pressing the buttons in the same sequence. Mz. Ruby was beaten, and her voodoo activities earned her a life sentence behind bars, since summoning the undead was prohibited some time ago.

Though she does not appear in any of the sequel games, Mz. Ruby does make a cameo appearance in the Sly 3 promotional comic as an inmate in Heathrow Prison.

  Panda King

Born poor on the streets of China, Panda King was fascinated by the fireworks set off by a rich noblemen every New Year. After spending a decade learning the art, Panda King attempted to offer his fireworks to the noblemen. However the Noblemen could not see past his shabby clothes and chased him away. Enraged, he used the tools of his art for crime, becoming the Fiendish Five's demolitions expert.

After acquiring the Thievius Raccoonus' section containing the blueprints of Otto Van Cooper, Panda King set up shop in the Kunlun Mountains of western China. Building a massive explosives factory, he disguised it as a large temple-like facility. In order to finance his crimes, the Panda King pressured local villages for avalanche protection. If they refused, he would set off a firework that would bring a megaton of snow down on them.

Panda King finished his brand new firework technique, Flame Fu, just in time to use it against Sly. Despite Panda King's impressive fighting style blending the martial arts of his homeland with his firework skills, he was unable to defeat Sly. The Panda King was thrown in jail by an irritated Carmelita Fox.

A few years later, Sly and co. need an artillery expert. Panda King joins the gang after they help him save his daughter, Jing King (who is only seen in silhouette during the game) from the evil General Tsao. At first, both Sly and Panda King were highly against this alliance: Sly because the Panda King had helped kill his father, and Panda King because Sly had humiliated him. However, after being forced out of a dream of his previous battle with Sly, the Panda King seemed to get along with the Guru, most likely because of their shared spiritual values. He is also moved by Murray's dedication to the things he cares about. He is extremely confident and boastful of his fireworks.

The Klaww Gang

  Arpeggio

Arpeggio was an anthropomorphic parrot. Attending a prestigious boarding school, Arpeggio was at the top of his class intellectually. However, due to his small size and tiny wings, he was unable to fly. He sought a cure for his condition in the journals of the Renaissance masters. His knowledge in the mechanics of flight earned him a seat in the Klaww Gang as their leader and Inventor, and he was responsible for the refitting of the Clockwerk parts.

Arpeggio had a plan to hypnotize the entire city of Paris. First, he had Dimitri feed the city's population illegal spice grown by Rajan. Then, he combined his technical expertise with the Contessa's specifications of light frequency hypnosis to create a massive blimp. Finally, he had Jean Bison collect Northern Light energy to fuel the process.

Unbeknownst to his conspirators, however, Arpeggio had another plan. Thanks to the efforts of his lieutenant, Constable Neyla, Arpeggio took down the other members of the Klaww Gang one by one, allowing Sly and company to collect the Clockwerk parts for him. He then arranged for Sly and co., along with Carmelita, to be imprisoned, but they escaped. Undaunted, he managed to obtain all the Cooper Gang's parts, combining them with the Clockwerk Brain in his possession to rebuild the evil bird.

Arpeggio planned to fuse with the Clockwerk frame in order to gain the powers of flight and immortality. To achieve the latter, he had to collect an enormous amount of the energy that sustained Clockwerk before his mechanization — hatred. He planned to hypnotize Paris' citizens into a state of intense hatred, enough to complete the process. However, just as he was about to merge with the frame, Neyla betrayed him and merged with it herself. As her first act of evil in the new identity of Clock-La, she crushed Arpeggio which killed him.  So sad...

 Dimitri

Dimitri originated into the claw gang and was in pocession of the clockwork tail feathers which he used as printing plates to create millions of fake cash. He owned a night club where millions of teens could "show da' bling" (as dimitri would put it) Before his life of crime he was a young art student who worked hard to show his own visionary style, but sadly enough he was turned down and started forgeing old masterpeices .It's said Dimitri learned all his english from hip hop videos...which would explain his horrible slang, which he always seemed to get wrong. He first appeared in Sly 2 and was quickly taken down by sly cooper himself.

A year later Dimitri reterned just as the Panda King had, sly didn't put up much of a fuss about him joining the team though... he after all only forged paintings and printed cash, nothing sly would hate him for. Dimitri appeared in four of the eposides in sly3. If you can understand half the things he says he will need you for a favor later on. eventuly he'll become a frog man to help sly into the cooper vault.... dimitri is both your neighborhood friend and foe... but not the deadly one.

You pickin up what im throwin down?!

 Rajan

Rajan is an anthropomorphic tiger character from the video game Sly 2: Band of Thieves.

Born penniless in Calcutta, Rajan sold illegal spices on the black market. This attracted Arpeggio, who put Rajan to work as the Klaww gang's spice provider.

He threw a party where he used the [[Clockwerk] Wings to bring him prestige. Sly distracted Rajan by dancing with Carmelita Fox while Murray stole the wings. After realizing that her dancing partner was Sly Cooper, Inspector Fox blew her own cover and started making arrests.

Rajan retreated to his spice factory where he used the Clockwerk Heart to create the spice. Rajan was defeated by Murray after he goaded him into a fight by calling him a "fat pathetic weakling."

When fighting, Rajan used part of the Clockwerk Heart (attatched to the end of his walking staff) to send out pulses of energy.

After his hard time Rajan became a noted rug dealer.

Personality: Rajan was seen as being an arrogant, short-fused character who apparently loved watermelons

 Jean Bison

A prospector from the 1850's, Jean Bison took one too many chances and wound up buried and frozen in an avalanche. However, in the present day, thanks to global warming, he thawed out and planned to finish what he started. A product of his time, he planned to "tame" the Wild North, leveling the forests and placing dams on every river. Serving as Shipping Baron for the Klaww Gang allowed him to bankroll his war against nature.

Despite his backwards, lowtech ways and old style thinking, Jean Bison ended up with the lion's share of the Clockwerk parts. Three of these parts, the Lungs and the Stomach, he attached to his Iron Horse trains, allowing them to run day and night without stopping. However, Sly and the gang were able to pull off some good old fashioned train robberies, stealing all three parts despite his precautions.

Escaping to his lumber camp in Northern Canada, Jean Bison continued his true operation-using his giant attractor to collect the light energy of the Aurora Borealis into his Northern Lights Batteries for Arpeggio's blimp. He also began preparations for his Lumber Jack Games, a competition for which he put up his Clockwerk Talons as a trophy. This drew Sly and co. like moths to a flame. Setting up the Northern Lights Battery for their transport to Arpeggio's blimp, they entered the games.

Despite stellar performances and cheating to make Jean Bison lose, the three were captured. While the Cooper Gang was in his custody, Bison had his men raid the gang's hideout and steal all of the Clockwerk Parts that the gang had collected and sold them to Arpeggio (including the talons). Bentley was then forced into a battle with Bison. However, using the lumber camp's equipment, he was able to beat him. After his sentence was up, Jean Bison turned over a new leaf and went to work for the EPA, and froze yet again on a mission to save baby penguins.  Just...feel bad for the baby penguins.

NO IMAGE YET!  The Contessa

Originally a criminal psychology student, Contessa married a wealthy aristocrat. However, only a few weeks after the ceremony, her betrothed "mysteriously" died (perhaps of poisoning). Using her knowledge of criminal thinking and her newly inherited estate, she opened a rehabilitation clinic for criminals. She used hypnosis to cure criminals of their illegal urges, and gained a high position within Interpol.

Contessa first appeared to Sly and co. at Rajan's ball, accompanying Carmelita Fox and Constable Neyla. She later appeared with them at Rajan's temple, where she placed Sly, Murray, and Carmelita under arrest (she arrested Carmelita because Neyla framed her for being an accomplice). Following her to her clinic in Prague, Bentley bugged her with his sleep darts. He discovered her to be a secret member of the Klaww Gang, hypnotizing criminals to learn the location of their loot. She was also using illegal spice to help with the hypnosis, and contributed hypnosis light wave generators to Arpeggio's blimp.

After failing to hypnotize Murray, Contessa fled her clinic for her castle estate. Her possession of the Clockwerk Eyes was revealed, powerful tools in the art of hypnotism. A war broke out between the Contessa and Constable Neyla. The gang did all they could to end it. Her immediate plan, and one Sly and his friends would not allow, was to hypnotize Carmelita, with a Mind Shuffler, into becoming her personal puppet, so that she would take the fall with Interpol. However, Sly, Murray, and Bentley disrupted her plans and Sly defeated her in combat. During the credits of Sly 2, it is said that the Contessa has gone into a successful real estate business.

Contessa was an anthropomorphic spider. After her incarceration, she became a highly successful real estate broker (with her patients displaying eerie hypnosis qualities).  I hate spiders.....

Constable Neyla

Yet another police woman. although not the one you'd expect. She's a two faced double crosser and a secret member of the claw gang. There was something fishy about her from the start. But despite her role in Interpole and her cover in the Claw gang as well as her being well trusted by the Cooper ganh (at first) she is really a one man member of her own little world. her past is unclear but all we know is that her future isn't ganna last long. She got Carmelita on the rocks with interpole as well as another intrpole officer arrested. she's even managed to throw sly behind bars.

She is also known as Clock-La a combination of herself and the evil Clockwork. For she crossed the Klaw gang in order to get immortality wich really was her plan all along.

Unaligned

  Dr. M

Dr. M is an anthropomorphic mandrill who has tried to breach the defenses of the Cooper Vault on Kaine Island for years. However, the Vault has proved impenetrable, leading him to construct an enormous fortress around it. With his sinister genius, Dr. M has created all manner of defenses, including a force of mutant beasts. Dr. M has a large amount of knowledge on the Cooper family. This stems from the fact that Dr. M filled the role of Bentley in Sly's father's gang, rather like McSweeny filled that of Murray.

When Sly Cooper and the Cooper Gang arrived on Kaine Island, they attempted to get past Dr. M's defenses to reach the vault. Unfortunately, his intellect proved too much for them, and they not only failed to open the vault, but also lost the Cooper cane. The Guru and Dimitri both attempted to recover it, but Dr. M was able to retrieve it using a mutated sea creature. Later, when Sly eliminated his air defenses, Dr. M took control of a giant whale-dragonfly hybrid to attack him. He revealed his history to Sly, and seemingly lost the cane. In reality, he had attached a tracking device to it, allowing him to track Sly's movements through the vault. Going after him, Dr. M had a brief confrontation with Murray and Bentley, where he suffered defeat.

Dr. M later engages Sly in a final battle, with Sly beating him to the edge of defeat. M then takes a shot at Carmelita Fox, only for Sly to take it and for Carmelita to finish him. Later, as the Cooper Vault collapses, Dr. M refuses to leave, and thus is crushed by falling stones. Unwittingly, he facilitated Sly's relationship with Carmelita, allowing his enemy to fake amnesia.
